Employees-in-Service

Health care needs are increasing in diversity and cost, but also there is increased attention being channeled in to the provision of alternative methods of health care delivery. These alternatives are focused on both the patients needs and cost effectiveness on delivery of health care services.

Absolute Care Nursing uses professional Health Care Institution that is specialized in developing educational programs for Nurses, Nursing Homes and Home Health Services. We purchased their ON-LINE training package that was prepared for CNAs and HHAs for in-services purposes. The course covers variety of topics such as:

  • Infection Control
  • Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse
  • Medical Records Documentation
  • Resident Rights
  • HIV and Aids
  • Communication with Cognitively Impaired client
  • CPR skills
  • Medical Error Prevention
  • Reading and Recording Temperature, Pulse and Respiration
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • How to Care for patient with Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Human Anatomy

These courses have teaching guide, handouts and power point slides. Each CNA/HHA has access to the web site. They are required to log in and study the courses. They also have access to the office computer to come in and study the materials. When 12 hours are completed, they are required to call the office and schedule for on-line Test. This test is taken in the office with the supervision of the Director. If passed, the System will generate a certification in the person’s name.

Absolute care management encourages  staff to start their in-service education on time so that they will be able to complete their State required 12 hours and pass the test before the one year is over. Absolute Care policy will not permit assignment to any CAN/HHA that failed to complete his/her in-service requirement.
